Sturdy wooden picnic table

Campbell’s Labels for Education ProgramPlease send in labels from Campbell’s soup and other products for this program. A collection box is in the school foyer. See www.labelsforeducation.ca or contact Kim Sheldrick for more information.

Pop Tabs - CVES collects pop tabs! The tabs are recycled for cash and the proceeds sent to Ontario March of Dimes to provide a wheel chair for someone in need. We are now working on our third wheel chair! Please send your tabs in with your child. There is a collection can in each homeroom class.

Milk Bag Project - Please send in your milk bags (the printed bag in which three individual bags are contained). These bags are used to make mats used in developing countries. Milk Bag Preparation: Make sure to rinse and thoroughly dry the outer, printed bags before folding them and remove any bag clips. This helps to reduce mildew growing on any stray drops of milk. A collection box is in the school foyer. Contact Kim Sheldrick for more information.

Great effort has been put into our flower beds thanks to Ginny Steele and her team. They are now in the process of preparing for winter by mulching. Mulching helps protect the plants over winter, spring and summer and also keep weeds down and moisture in the bed. Shredded leaves are best, but whole leaves work too. Any parents interested in adopting a flower bed or donating their bagged leaves are much appreciated and asked to contact Ginny Steele.
